A bright new year
Dearest Wildflowers, here’s a little message from The Earth Spirit Oracle for the year ahead.
I wanted to thank you all so much for your beautiful comments on my last episode — my heart is full. Many of your messages brought a smile to my face, and little goosebumps of emotion, really! It made me realise how much I appreciate each and every one of you, the kindred spirits who follow along on this creative journey. The thought that I am bringing joy to people just be sharing my art, well... that's just so profoundly beautiful. It reminds me that THIS is my gift of light to share with the world, and I should just keep on giving it away. I really hope that makes sense...?!
Anyway, I am wishing you all a very happy new year, filled with laughter, joy, creativity, sweet surprises and a whole lot of love and magic. Oh, and garden flowers too!
I decided to pull some cards from my very own oracle deck this morning, sitting in my garden, watching the hollyhocks swaying in the summer breeze, coffee cup in hand... and this is the message that Earth Spirit wanted to share with you, my patrons, as we enter a new year...
HARMONY
The delightful little honey bee comes buzzing into all of our lives this year with a message of teamwork, reciprocity, and living in harmony with like-minded souls. This card is a reminder to reach out and connect with your soul tribe and spend quality time with others like you (yes, you, fellow wildflowers!). If we practice teamwork, we can accomplish things we might once have considered impossible!
This year, let's use our unique gifts to help the world around us. This way, we can bring about significant change and make an enormous contribution to our communities. Earth Spirit is calling us to step up and shine our light where it is most needed – when we support others, and accept assistance in return, a sweeter world for all is suddenly within reach!
The honey bee also wants us to taste the nectar of life, to enjoy the sweetness of everyday moments, and always make time to enjoy the fruits of our labour (yippee! I like the sound of that!). Embracing frugal hedonism means living lightly but luxuriously. Not being reckless with our harvest, but taking time to sip the sweet honey we've made together.
THE MOUNTAIN
Mystics and wise ones across the globe have recognized mountains as places of great power and energy; sacred and spiritual, they symbolize the epic journey of life and remind us of nature’s magnificence and formidability, for this is where the gods and goddesses reside.
Many myths and legends surround The Mountain, and human beings have made pilgrimage to peaks for as long as we have existed. When this card appears, it is a call to take a deep breath, set your intentions, and take firm steps to conquer any challenges before you. What a fantastic message for the year ahead!
The quiet, resolute immensity of The Mountain leaves us in awe and inspires us to reach for the stars. It may seem daunting and, at times, even impossible, but this card is your sign to take heart, and know that with every challenge comes a chance to learn, evolve and grow more confident. Accept the new year before you as an opportunity to discover what you are capable of and realize your true potential. Just imagine how empowered you will feel when you reach the top! The past few years may already have felt like an exhausting climb, with many setbacks, disappointments, twists and turns, but remember — whenever you reach the next summit, you feel nothing short of invincible!
This year, The Mountain appears in front of you again — and it is time to be active and decisive. Do not let doubts or limiting beliefs deter you and keep you bound. Remember that from the top of The Mountain, there are no obstacles, only beauty, clarity, and a breathtaking view. The sense of accomplishment and inner strength you will feel when you face your fears is worth the daring climb. With faith in yourself, determination, and courage, know that no obstacle on this earth is insurmountable.
THE FIRE
I'm not at all surprised that this card appeared because this new year indeed calls us to look deep within — if it isn't working, let it go, and let it burn!
The Fire is a powerful cleanser, a transformative element that can obliterate one form of matter in seconds, leaving an entirely new form in its wake. Wood turns to ash, water to cloud, rock to lava. When the burning fire enters your life, there is no turning back.
This card heralds a time of incredible energy, increased passion, and profound change. See how radiant new growth springs from the charred remains of tree trunks, nourished by the rich minerals contained in the ash? See how the dry detritus of summer’s excess has been swept clean? The Fire is not to be feared but treated with awe-struck reverence, for her regenerative power plays an essential role in the delicate balance of life on this wild planet — so step into the new year with fearless determination, and you will be forever altered.
You are being initiated into a ‘trial by fire’ that will invoke a drastic change in your experience of the physical world, an utter upheaval of all that you have known. Before the creation of the ‘new’, however, the destruction of the ‘old’ must take place. Look deep within for what needs to be offered up to the dragon. What old habits, beliefs, behaviors, or possessions are ready to be set alight by her trans-mutational flames? This transformation of spirit will be intense but attempting to grasp onto these things will only cause more difficulty. Release them readily, and you will find them replaced by the glittering gems of spiritual growth and the power to manifest even greater desires.
